La carretera de Whitehorse a Skagway tiene muchas atracciones y vistas no muy peculiares... Esta es una escalera para que los salmones cuando pasen por esta represa puedan continuar so trayecto natural. (The road from Whitehorse to Skagway has many cool things and very unusual views... This is a stairway for salmons to continue their trip passing this dam.)
Esto es una pequeña porción del Río Emerald (Esmeralda). El color es aún más marcado en persona que en esta foto. (This is a small portion of the Emerald River. The color in the picture doesn´t make justice to the real green (emerald) color in real life.)
Este es el desierto más pequeño del mundo y sí, se encuentra en el medio de la Taiga. Hace muchos años había un lago que se originó por glaciares, cuando los glaciares retrocedieron el lago se secó muy rápido dejando por sedimento arena como la de la playa. Muy pocos árboles pueden crecer en este terreno así que sólo los que encuentran unas piedras y un poco de tierra pueden sobrevivir. (This is the smallest desert in the world, and yes is located in the middle of the tundra or taiga forest. Many years ago a glacier lake dried too quickly leaving behind sand as sediments. Not many trees can survive on this so only the strong and lucky ones to find some rocks and dirt can grow.)
