La cerca está terminada! (The fence is done!)

(Its been a couple of weeks since we finished the fence, but it took me a while to recover and rest, and that was a lot of work, wow! It was all worth it after seeing Bruno go nuts running in the yard, so cute!)

(Dave's parents came to visit about two weeks ago to get to know North Carolina, help with the fence and they brought us some Alaskan beer!!!)

Luego de una caminata por el vecindario. (After a walk around the neighborhood)
Fuimos a ver un juego de pelota. (We went to see a baseball game, Durhma Bulls)

(And the fence work starts, woof)

Cavar estos hoyos fue una tarea fuerte. (Digging these holes was a big, exhausting job)

(Here is Dave cooking, and as you can see the kitchen is fully functional and a bit messy... but that is evidence of us really using the kitchen!)

¡Hogar dulce hogar! (Home sweet home!)

¡Compramos casa!

We bought a house! So two weekends ago, Dave, Bruno and I were ready to go backpacking. We had the tent, and all the equipment ready, the trail choosen and the stops along the way, but aparently all the weather people got together to say it was going to rain dogs and cats out there with T-storms all around us, so we decided to stay home. Since Dave got his fantastic job and we are now more permanent in the area buying a house is best as to give away the money in rent. We set out to search for houses and got to see 3 that first weekend, including the one we end up choosing. We also met our agent and she is great with what she does, so after visiting other houses we decided to put an offer on the one we liked a lot, that was Saturday June 5th, on Sunday our offer was accepted. The seller will take the playground, but what kind of monster will take kids playgrounds as bargaining... hehehe. Anyway above is a picture of what will be our future home. Plenty of room for all the family and friends that need a room to stay. But we close on July 23rd so not yet people, just a bit longer. Needless to say we are all very excited, Bruno specially... he gets the big yard to run around.

Hugs to all

Primera mitad del 2010 (First half of 2010)

(Its been a while and I come to you now with a summary of our adventures since Christmas.... wow! Well lets start... After taking the Christmas decorations and tree we noticed that the tree corner needed some more light, so we designed some wooden boxes and built it on our deck some will be lamps and the rest will be stands... is pretty cool and I'm done with them but I don't have a current picture so I owe you the end result.)

(We have also been exercising and eating better as part of our new year's resolution and the hard work paid off, we've lost some pounds too, Dave lost 15 lb and I 10. In the above picture and the next one we are at Eno River with Bruno that has been growing and getting strong.)

(For Easter we got together at Mike's new house and had a very nice meal!)
(Randy and Nika brought their dog Bali that kept Bruno some company.)

(Last weekend we went camping with Randy, Nika and Bali to Hanging Rock State Park, about two hours drive N.)
(The views were great and the hike of 8 miles was intense)

Nos la pasamos genial (We had a great time, in my top 10 camping spots)
