Texas!!!

All three of us, Dave, Nicolas and me went on a one week vacation to Texas, where most of Dave's extended family lives.  We started in Austin visiting Maw-maw, Dave's grandmother from his mom side, also in Austin we visited Dave's mom (Dorothy) sisters, and their kids... and wow they are just grown ups!

Two of Dave's sisters, Karen and Lauren flew to TX as well and met us in Austin to visit Maw-maw.  Then Karen, Lauren, Dave, Nico and I drove to San Antonio to spend the night and do some touristy stuff.  We walked along the river walk (which is very pretty!), visited the Alamo and had dinner with cousin Keila, Lino (Keila's husband) and two beautiful girls.

Next day, Thursday we head out to Corpus Christi and met with the Krnavek side of the family at uncle Jerry's.  On Friday morning we went to the beach with Nico and, in the afternoon Karen and I went all over town to get things ready for Lauren's baby shower, which included a good number of Krnaveks, Taperas and others.

Saturday we all went to celebrate the 45th anniversary of aunt Pat and uncle Martin, started the renewal of vows with mass then a good party with great food (too much of it!).

All-in-all we had a great time, did a bunch of things and visited a lot of family!  Great time!

En español

Empacamos nuestras maletas, y todas las cosas de Nicolás (más de lo que necesitamos...) y nos fuimos para Texas, donde vive la mayor parte de la familia de Dave.  Empezamos en Austin visitando a Maw-maw, la abuela de Dave por parte de su mamá, Dorothy.  Luego visitamos también a las tías de Dave, hermanas de Dorothy y sus familias... wow las primas están mayores (ya van a la universidad!  Estoy poniendome vieja).

Dos de las hermanas de Dave, Karen y Lauren, vinieron también hasta Austin para visitar a Maw-maw.  Luego, Karen, Lauren, Dave, Nico y yo tomamos carretera para San Antonio para pasar la noche, hacer de turistas y pasar un lindo día entre hermanos.  Paseamos por los canels del río, visitamos el Alamo y comimos la cena con la prima Keila su marido, Lino y sus dos niñas.  La pasamos muy bien, y San Antonio es muy lindo.

El próximo día, jueves nos dirigimos a Corpus Christi donde nos encontramos con la familia Krnavek en casa del tío Jerry.  El viernes por la mañana nos fuimos a la playa y por la tarde Karen y yo nos fuimos a preparar la fiesta para Lauren y su bebé... a la fiesta fueron Krnaveks, Taperas, y otros más.

El sábado nos fuimos todos a celebrar el 45 aniversario de la tía Pat y tío Martin.  Empezamos todos con la misa y los votos y luego la fiesta y la comida... mucha comida!

¡La pasamo muy bien, hicimos muchísimas cosas y visitamos muchísima familia!
